Our Employment Team provide advice and assistance to a number of public and private bodies on a full range of employment issues. We have been involved in many high profile employment matters and provide advice not only on contentious matters, including attendance at Employment Tribunals, but also on non-contentious matters.

We provide decisive, pro-active and constructive approaches to various employment issues and work with our clients on practical day-to-day issues. We also advise on issues of strategic importance such as reorganisation and the introduction of new terms and conditions, policies and procedures, as well as provide free monthly updates on forthcoming legislation and new case law.

We are familiar with the grievance and disciplinary procedures commonly applied within the NHS Trusts and Local Health Boards and frequently advise clients on the sensitive issues around the disciplining of staff at all levels, including medical professionals. We understand the provisions of the relevant NHS circulars relating to the disciplining of senior medical staff and have experience of negotiating with the BMA and other doctors' defence organisations on these issues. We are also experienced in dealing with Trade Unions, UNISON and RCN.

We are well experienced in the management of all types of claims brought in the Employment Tribunal and can assist with these whether it be in reaching settlement or providing representation through to Tribunal hearings.

We are experienced in dealing with claims arising out of alleged race, sex and disability discrimination, unfair and constructive dismissal, and redundancy. We are aware of delicate public and industrial relations issues attached to these claims, and have provided support and advice in the drafting of Press releases.
