MLM SOLICITORS GAIN NEW NHS CONTRACT
Leading law firm MLM are increasing their work in the NHS sector in Wales
after successfully gaining a new contract to work with a number of NHS Trusts.
The Cardiff based firm will be working with other panel solicitors over a
two-year period to act on behalf of a consortium of five NHS Trusts; Velindre,
Swansea, Bro Morgannwg, Pontypridd and Rhondda and North Glamorgan.
MLM have a special interest in the health sector and will be acting for the
Trusts in employment and property matters.
MLM’s healthcare team is headed up by partners Chris Mayers and Andrea
Thomas who are delighted to be building on their already significant work
in the NHS in Wales. Commercial Property partner David King will oversee
the property work done on behalf of the consortium.
Ms Thomas, who is MLM’s lead partner for this contract, said “We
have many years of specialist experience in advising the NHS in Wales and
this reinforces the good foundations we have built up in this area. We are
looking forward to further developing our relationship with NHS organisations
and relish the opportunity to expand upon our specialist knowledge and expertise
in this area.”
MLM are based in Fitzalan Court close to Cardiff city centre and already
advise a number of NHS organisations.
The firm provide a principally commercial legal service based around the
core practice areas of commercial property, company and commercial, litigation,
employment and healthcare.
They have a diverse client base including public companies, NHS Trusts and
Local Health Boards, government agencies, media and leisure companies, private
venture capital funds and mobile telecommunications companies
